A man released a blast of gunfire from an inn room onto an open air show celebration in Las Vegas, killing no less than 58 individuals and injuring no less than 515 others on Sunday night, authorities said.

Not long after 10 p.m., the shooter shot from the 32nd story of the inn, the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, splashing projectiles into a horde of around 22,000 individuals, authorities said.

In the blink of an eye before midnight, SWAT groups were sent to the 32nd story and found the shooter dead, evidently from a self-incurred discharge, the police said. The man, who was later distinguished as Stephen Paddock, had no less than 10 rifles in the room.
