Rohingya refugees search for shelter in Bangladesh

Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh - According to the UN, 436,000 Rohingya refugees have fled to Bangladesh since the latest round of violence against them started in neighboring Myanmar's Rakhine state a month prior.

Flimsy tents made of worn out tarpaulin and plastic sheets now cover a significant part of the Bangladeshi port city of Cox's Bazar.

Those raised by aid agencies are overflowing, forcing others to make their own makeshift shelters with whatever they can find.

Be that as it may, overwhelming rains, high humidity and stifling warmth have exacerbated conditions. The stench of human feces grows stronger consistently. Refugees must swim through lower leg profound mud, frequently shoeless and with minimal clothing subsequent to fleeing their homes with couple of belongings.

International aid agencies and nearby charities and neighborhood volunteers are working tirelessly to provide what they can, yet the numbers in require are overwhelming and the challenges daunting in camps without clean water or sanitation, and where the episode of disease seems imminent.
